Genesis is a family run company, established in 2005 by husband and wife, Scott and Emma Eden.
As a business, we take great pride in being able to demonstrate our diligence and professionalism not only through our experience, but through our supporting qualifications.
All of our employees are fully qualified and competent in works undertaken.
Genesis employees either hold chartered membership of relevant institutions or are progressing towards chartered membership.

Emma commenced her career in construction project management, gaining over 12 years of experience in this industry.
As a Director of Genesis since 2005, Emma has driven the expansion of the company’s provision of occupational health, safety and environmental services. Emma has health and safety experience across a variety of industries including, local government, manufacturing, construction and retail/leisure. She is particularly specialist in the fields of occupational health, construction and engineering workshops.

Noora Mättö
Health & Safety Advisor & Trainer
Noora’s background is in public health and wellbeing having graduated, with Honours, from University of Glasgow in 2019. She is an experienced organiser with skills in research methods and documentation. Through an academic interest in the behavioural processes involved in adoption of a healthy diet and active life, Noora has developed an interest in occupational health and safety. Noora gained her position at Genesis through ScotGrad placement. Her work project involved developing and marketing affordable, ‘off the shelf’ health and safety management systems to small businesses in Dumfries and surrounding areas. Noora has experience of health and safety practices in the catering and hospitality industry via previous employment. Noora, with the support of Chartered Practitioners, is developing experience and proficiency in a wide range of health and safety practices.
Max Cliff
Occupational Health Counsellor
Max has seven years’ experience working within mental health in a range of voluntary and paid therapeutic roles, for various organisations including mental health charities and the NHS psychology service. Through his experiences in mental health settings Max has worked with children, teenagers, adults and older adults, and is proficient at interacting with and treating individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Max is empathetic and patient with clients, and capable of working in demanding situations or with individuals in significant distress.
Within occupation health settings, Max primarily employs Person-Centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches to counselling.

Stuart’s background is in Sport, leisure and events having graduated with a Master’s degree from Sheffield Hallam University in 2008. Stuart has experience working in a variety of occupational settings including leisure and sport, Industrial and International event management. Settings include London Olympics 2012, Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth games, Baku European games 2015, Ashgabat (AIMAG) 2017, and Glasgow 2018 European Championships. His background in Leisure and sport as well as International sporting events provides Stuart with an exceptional understanding of occupational health and safety, wellbeing, first aid and training. He is skilled in health and safety advise/training, and is a proficient and adaptable communicator.
