Courses are offered to a maximum of 12 delegates and can be run either within client premises or within Genesis training facilities. Throughout the year, we also run several open courses. Click here for dates and further information.
The duration of each course is generally 3 hours unless noted otherwise. Extended and more in-depth training on each subject can be arranged where required.

Health and Safety Awareness
This course is designed to provide an awareness to persons of any level about health and safety in the workplace. It includes information on employee duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. The Health and Safety Awareness course will be specific to suit your industry.
Health and Safety for Directors and Managers
This course is perfect for company managers and directors who wish to gain an understanding of employers’ duties under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and how to successfully implement a health and safety policy and management procedures suited to your workplace.

Risk Assessment
The course teaches delegates about the process of risk assessing as well as providing attendees with an understanding of workplace hazards, associated risks, selection of control measures (in compliance with the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999) and implementation of control measures.
First Aid at Work [FAW] – 3 days
The First Aid at Work course, targeted at high-risk workplaces, enables delegates to become qualified first aiders. Join our dynamic three-day program to gain the essential skills and knowledge for effective first-aid provision in the workplace.
Upon completion, attendees will obtain a three-year Emergency First Aid at Work certificate, certifying them as competent first aiders.
(We recommend that course participants are physically capable of administering first aid.)
Emergency First Aid at Work [EFAW] – 1 day
The Emergency First Aid at Work course is an ideal solution for most workplaces and will enable delegates to become a qualified emergency first aider. Delegates will gain the confidence and proficiency needed to address emergencies effectively.
Upon completion, delegates earn the esteemed qualification of a certified emergency first aider, with a certificate valid for three years.

First Aid at Work Refresher - 2 days
The First Aid at Work Refresher training course provides an update for the comprehensive set of
practical skills and understanding needed by First Aiders in most workplaces. The course is split over two days and comprises of a combination of informative slides, demonstrations and practical activities. Learners are assessed throughout the duration of the course to ensure that they achieve the required competencies.
The Health and Safety Executive strongly recommends that first aiders attend a refresher session once every year during the three year period.
First Aid Annual Refresher 1/2 day
The First Aid at Work Refresher training course provides an update for the comprehensive set of
practical skills and understanding needed by First Aiders in most workplaces. The course is an annual half-day refresher.
The Health & Safety Executive strongly recommends that First Aiders undertake annual
refresher training during any three-year First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work
certification period. This will assist qualified First Aiders in maintaining their knowledge and
basic skills whilst providing an opportunity to keep up-to-date with any changes in First Aid
procedures or best practices.

The Manual Handling and Ergonomic training course is an interactive and engaging session which aims to provide detailed information with regards to workplace manual handling and ergonomic risks and techniques that can be used to minimise and control such risks.
